SharpTasks becomes a very powerful todo list manager over non-syncing applications when combined with the powerful features of Toodledo - for example: - Daily emails to remind you of your most important tasks (as configured at - The ability to email items into your todo list, very useful for sending items into your toodledo Just tried it out.Features that it seems to be missing that I need:Toodledo Task Management. Even though I like Nozbe better I use Toodledo.Heres a shortlist of Photos extensions created by Skylum: Luminar - can be used as plugin or standalone Mac software, for any kind of photo editing tasks. I dont want to spend time going into task various details to get a task to show up at the top of the list. That is a key feature for me.Todoist offers apps for Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux. Load More.Todoist is a popular task management app that can be a great help for bloggers and. Comparable Task Manager To Toodledo Android And FromI would want certain smart lists to be my main control centers, for example, I have a "Next Actions" list that I use to combine all of my other lists in a prioritized fashion, while filtering out certain tags. The ability to favorite your Smart Lists and make them a permanent part of the navbar. I use this from my car on my android and from home with my Google Home. The ability to add tasks from Google Assistant with my voice. I can add tasks from anywhere in my OS without going into the app. Something comparable to the "Quick Add" Todoist feature on android, which I have mapped to a physical button. Makes me want to start doing Pomodoro technique.Overall I think it's a strong alternative and will definitely consider switching in the future if some of those features are added, but as of now Todoist has too many features that I'm far too attached to.I've had premium on TickTick for 6 months and I just let my Todoist premium expire after 2 years of using it. The interface in general is very beautiful Though that's probably just because I worked my system around them because of the fact that they are terrible in Todoist. Sublists are fantastic, even though I don't actually use sublists. The calendar, even though I wouldn't use it as I put all date related tasks in Google calendar, it is really nifty and I am glad you have it The ability to hide the default lists (Today, Tomorrow, Next 7 days, etc) as I don't use any of those and they just take up space in Todoist. These all let you quickly input tasks. The other list/calendar widgets also have a quick add "+" symbol. There is a TickTick widget that's just called "TickTick Shortcut" which is a 1x1 icon you can configure to quick add tasks. Spoiler alert: I'm actually disappointed by both of the apps and can't fully recommend one over the other. Easy access side panel for notes/description/links (rather than popup like Todoist). I don't think there is a way to manually arrange or hide/show individual custom lists.Main advantages TickTick has over Todoist: And then your custom smart lists get placed underneath those. You can specify which default smart lists are shown/hidden on your nav bar. There are supposedly some workarounds with IFTTT but I haven't tried them. Sorting / filtering / viewing - TickTick's sorting is superior in my opinion. Duration tasks - Start & End times for tasks: Calendar view - I completely switched over to using TickTick's calendar rather than Google Calendar, primarily because TickTick doesn't have 2-way sync for GCal but their calendar suits my needs so it just eliminated 1 app for me. Checklist subtasks w/ progress bar (see above image) I did it in 10 seconds in TickTick: Try writing a query which finds all high priority tasks this month assigned to yourself that have specific tags but excludes certain projects. Smart lists are also much more user friendly to create than queries. Even if you were to create dozens of queries to match the possible ways you want the tasks organized, you still can't sort the queries how you want. It's not really feasible to do this in Todoist. This has always been Todoist's primary strength in my opinion. The natural language processing is still superior, albeit the gap is lessening. Acts as a !#project within Todoist filters)Main advantages Todoist has over TickTick: Google calendar active sync (2-way). I used this a lot on my phone (chronic procrastinator), and I miss being able to 1 button reschedule tasks to today or smart reschedule. Reschedule overdue button. I would give this to Todoist, except Todoist sometimes handles subtasks (essentially just indented tasks) in very strange ways that would lead to time consuming correction. They both have aggravating aspects of their UI. I have my own gripes about queries as a whole within Todoist, but being able to not include things in a query is necessary for so many reasons.Things that frustrate me about both apps: This isn't a feature in TickTick for who knows why. Queries can use the NOT operator (!). I can see how this is crucial for a lot of people though. Although, eventually I got so used to TickTick's calendar that I dropped Google calendar. (unless you count creating multiple queries in one comma separated filter, which removes all of the project titles and organization/sorting features which makes the project view aesthetically pleasing). On Todoist web version, I only have to click once on a project to see all the subprojects and tasks listed, however I lose that functionality on mobile and even worse it's completely impossible to utilize that functionality via queries. In TickTick, on the web version, you click once to expand a folder (a group of lists) and then you have to click a second time on "All Tasks" which is at the bottom of the list for some reason in order to view all the tasks within that folder. Virtual drumline 25 free downloadNeither developer has a public development road map or a feature request board with public voting. Why can't I customize the color of each element on my app? The sidebar, text, headers, etc. Whereas, Todoist's dark theme was my favorite, but lacks a true black/OLED theme on any version. I like TickTick's True Black on Android, but they fail to have any dark theme on the web version. ![]() I like the app, but their generic forum responses and lack of certain features makes it clear that there is a communication barrier between TickTick's team and their users (I'm assuming the majority of users are English speaking, although I could be wrong). That being said, I don't necessarily like the direction TickTick is heading either. Even though I think Todoist is worth more than $36 per year and I have legacy $29 pricing, they had to take the PR route and try to spin this as a positive rather than saying the truth: they felt their software was worth more than they were charging for it and so they increased the price $7 per year. Saying their new pricing is "$3 per month per user paid annually" in order to make the pricing "simpler" is entirely disingenuous.
